BALANCE is for women and men, over the age of 18, who are experiencing hormonal acne or other symptoms related to high estrogen levels. For women, symptoms beyond acne can include mood swings, weight gain, and painful, heavy or irregular periods. For men, other symptoms can include erectile dysfunction, low libido, belly fat, fatigue, and water retention.
Yes, both men and women can benefit from BALANCE. Men are equally vulnerable to the effects of estrogens found in our environment, as well as genetic variations in how the body processes hormones, which contribute to hormonal imbalances such as estrogen dominance. Acne is a symptom of high estrogen among men, but other symptoms may differ from those experienced by women, and can include erectile dysfunction, low libido, belly fat, fatigue, and water retention.
You should not take BALANCE if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. We also don’t recommend taking BALANCE if you are under the age of 18. Always consult with your healthcare practitioner before adding any new supplement to your daily regimen.
Birth control pills tend to suppress rather than solve hormonal imbalances and symptoms like acne. So, in coming off the pill you may re-experience the symptoms that drove you to go on it, often in a more pronounced way. Alternatively, you may have developed a hormonal imbalance while on the pill and, in going off of it, are experiencing persistent hormonal breakouts for the first time.
